At the start of my final college year one of my friends got in contact with me to offer me an opportunity - to perform within one of the Inchindown Tunnels.

These tunnels are magnificent for any sound geek, they currently hold the world record for having the longest reverb tale from a man made structure at 112 seconds. The tunnels were built during WW2 and was built for an oil storage depot. These massive structures were filled with oil and used to maintain thousands of vehicles. Since then the oil has been drained, but what gives the tunnels the magnificent sound is the size of the place, and the coating of oil that is left on the wall. The oil makes sound waves travel further and resonate clearer when compared with other materials.

A full crew traveled to the tunnels to capture the performance, there was a group of sound engineers and a film crew to capture the experience. Below is a short video showcasing that day.
